I know I (Katy K.) have no updated this Tumblr in forever and I’m honestly sorry for that, things have been really hectic in my life the past year. I neglected this Tumblr as well as my site, for that reason, so I’m here to honestly fix it to the best I can. Holly and Jenna parted ways with The Calvert Webzine and have started their own webzine, called Static 180 Webzine you can just click on the name and it will take you to their webzine, as well as click here and you can go to their facebook.
With that all said and done. I lost my hosting but my friend Destiny was gracious enough to give me hosting and we now have figured out how to use The Calvert Webzine.com! I know I brought the domain back in ‘09, but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how the hell to get it to work. So know three years later Destiny has it working! So everyone give a round of applause to Destiny.
Now before you go to the site I should let you know you can’t quite go on it just yet! Jena, one of the original designers over at the other domain, she right now is making a layout so everything looks fresh and better for the new start. You really should go to Jena’s site just by clicking her name, and look at her site, because she is amazing. It’s currently in Maintenance mode, just like the Webzine, but don’t worry we’ll both be up and going soon.
I will be using the Tumblr more often so please don’t unfollow us right now. I promise to make things better. I’m going to be working at everything slowly as I try and get my life on track and make myself healthier.
Destiny, Jena, and Kallie, thank you three so much for helping me get the webzine back on track it means a boat load to me.
For those of you who have stuck around this long, I want to say Thank You. I’m willing to take any ideas in to consideration if you have any.
fun. recently met up with Consequence of Sound at Webster Hall in New York City for interview and live acoustic performance. If you missed the live stream of it, you can now see some of the highlights on YouTube. Watch their interview above and click HERE to watch the band perform three songs:

Fearless Records has yet again signed a new band and were not even into the sixth month of the year, way to go Fearless. The new band they signed happens to be Chunk! No, Capitan Chunk, they’ll be re-releasing their album “Something For Nothing.” so keep your eye out for that, as well they’ll be on tour this summer with In Fear And Faith, Vanna, A Loss For Words, Ten After Two, and Adestria, in the united states.
Republic of Lights got together a few days ago and put together a little interview, filled with tons of laughter. When you get the chance go and download there album Go Rococo for free here or perhaps you might want to go here and buy it on vinly.
I haven’t updated in a while because, my lap top, being the rude person it is, decided to go ahead and disconnect from is sound boards, my dad has to take it in, so I haven’t had my lap top in a while. But fear not, Republic of Lights flew in to save the day for us. I’m going to post their interview right now and then from there you’ll be getting more.
This weekend I interviewed two wonderful bands Haste The Day and My Children My Bride. So be on the look out for the interviews and pictures of MCMB and Haste The Day.
Aquabats released a new album today called “Hi-Five Soup” be sure to check it out, just click the album title and it will take you iTunes where you can buy the album.
The Calvert Webzine has interviews with The Chariot and Haste The Day. Katy (me) is going to be taking pictures this Saturday for The Chariot Article, they should be sending answers in today for the questions. Then on February 5th. I’m going to Orangevale to see Haste The Day do their last set ever at The Boardwalk, and do an interview with them.
Then we have some bands that are sending us in their answers, The Honesty, which I’m really excited to hear back from them, and also Republic of Lights.
I believe we are going to start picking up band of the month in February again, so be on the look out for that. I have a pretty good idea for the next three months worth of bands. :)
Thanks,
Katy.
P.S. Also stupid me, all the questions from every interview came from the held of Jenna G.
